Curriculum

NJ State Certified Head Teacher Heather Friel coordinates the curriculum across the entire Center.

Heather recently added tools available through the Early Beginnings Preschool Program.  Early Beginnings provides a creative, high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum that affords the teacher and the children the opportunity to have fun and enjoy the learning process.  All of this is accomplished through creative integrated hands-on learning activities that address the whole child.

The Early Beginnings Preschool Program was founded in 1994 by Dr. Melissa MacNeal.  Her program is the result of the culmination of over 25 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and the personal firsthand knowledge and inputs from literally hundreds of other professionals.

The Early Beginnings philosophy is that young children learn best in an environment that affords them the opportunity to explore, discover, and enjoy the learning process.

We are achieving wonderful success with this program.  The children come to the Center exited about the day ahead  - and parents are getting very positive feedback.

Future updates will be made to enhance the curriculum as ALCC pursues the goal of an accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Our new child evaluation system provides "report cards" on your child's development - from age 6 months to 5 years!
